Not a great start to the day. President Trump’s approval rating (fivethirtyeight.com) has risen yet another tenth of a percentage point to 40.9 per cent–a slow but steady increase I’ve observed since his State of the Union speech.
This is spite of the resignation of two of his staffers for domestic abuse, and questions over how his administration continues to employ people who fail to get security clearance from the FBI.
Of course, President Trump’s own son-in-law, Jared Kushner, continues to get the highly-classified Presidential Daily Briefings (PDB’s) in spite of having obscured or omitted important information from a succession of security clearance forms.
This reinforces my view that America is caught between two irreconcilable ideologies, and that immigration is the battleground. Sad.
